I observed evil as intruder attempted to force entry house of worship, cleric recounts
A rabbi has shared the moment when a individual tried to barge into his Manchester house of worship during a fatal assault, saying "I saw evil, I observed hatred".
Rabbi Daniel Walker explained that he and others held the doors of the worship house as the assailant was "forcing the doors, flinging large decorative pots, doing everything he was able to to get in".
Applauding the quick-thinking of those at the synagogue, he remarked: "I observed true heroism, I must declare, and worshippers who hurried to assist other people rather than running away. It was remarkable."
One victim, and A 66-year-old man, both died after the attacker struck people and stabbed a man on the day of the incident.
